California Gas Transmission changing contract naming conventions

GTN's downstream interconnect, PG&E's California Gas Transmission (CGT), is changing contract naming conventions on November 8 th . To ensure that GTN and CGT are able to match upstream/downstream contracts at the Malin interconnect, please follow these guidelines when nominating on GTN:

  1. For the entire Gas Day November 8th , use the old CGT contract naming convention on your GTN nominations to/from CGT at Malin. Even though CGT's INSIDETRACC will report using the new contract naming conventions on the CGT system starting with the intraday for Gas Day November 8, GTN will continue to use the old naming convention through the end of the day to eliminate EPSQ issues.
  2. Beginning with the Timely Cycle for Gas Day November 9th , GTN shippers nominating to/from CGT at Malin should use CGT's new naming convention for the downstream/upstream contract. Shippers may submit nominations for November 9th in advance of that date.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding GTN nominations that include transactions between GTN and CGT at the Malin interconnect during this transition, please call a GTN transportation coordinator at 503-833-4300, option 1.

Questions for CGT should be directed to the CGT scheduling hotline at 415-973-2424.

CGT's new naming convention is detailed in documentation on the CGT Pipe Ranger website
