Pacific Express Frequently Asked Questions

Pacific Express, TransCanada's GTN System's new customer interface, goes into service on Saturday, December 9, 2006.  Pacific Express is the web-based system customers use for nominations, capacity release, contracts, and report generation on GTN and will replace the current e-trans system. E-trans will be retired at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 8.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Do I need a new user id and password for Pacific Express: The first time customers use Pacific Express, they will log in using their existing e-trans User ID and Password.  Customers will then be required to change their passwords to meet TransCanada's "strong password" policy.  Strong passwords must:

• Include at least six characters

• Contain at least one numeric character

• Use at least one upper-case alphabetic character

• Use at least one lower-case alphabetic character

• Have no special characters, punctuation, or spaces (such as *%_$!-)

Do I need to log in first thing on Saturday morning and re-nom everything or will existing nominations be used: No, GTN will migrate all nominations that have been effective in the past six months. Shippers will NOT need to submit new nominations unless their business needs call for it.

What should I do if I forget my new password: After Three unsuccessful login attempts, you will be locked out of Pacific Express for 15 minutes. To avoid this lockout, after two unsuccessful login attempts, we highly recommend that you contact a Services & Contracts Coordinator to have you password reset.

I have www.gastransmissionnw.com/cust_activity/ book marked on my computer….do I need to change that?: Yes, for Customer Activities. Informational Postings and Company Information will remain at www.gastransmissionnw.com , but Pacific Express will be located at https://pe.gastransmissionnw.com .

If you have any questions, please call a services and contract coordinator at (503) 833-4300, option 2.
