TransCanada's
GTN System will go live with Pacific Express, its next-generation
customer interface, in early December. Pacific Express is the
tool GTN's customers use for nominations, capacity release, contracts,
and generating reports on the GTN System.
"We
committed to having an improved interface available to customers
by the end of this year," says Jeff Rush, GTN General Manager.
"I'm happy to report that the Pacific Express project team has
crafted a product that combines functionality and usability in
a way that should make it easier to do business on GTN."
Pacific
Express, which replaces E-trans, offers the same functionality
as E-trans on a more robust platform, says Brian Tennison, GTN
Supervisor of Customer Information Systems.
"The
business processes underlying Pacific Express are the same. What's
changing are the look and feel," Tennison says. "Customers will
find Pacific Express easier to navigate, and Pacific Express offers
users more options in terms of mining data."
Customers
are encouraged to take advantage of hands-on training GTN is providing
in Calgary , Houston , Burbank , and Portland .
