The GTN and North Baja systems
acquired a new leader Feb. 1 when Jeff Rush, TransCanada’s
vice-president, Gas Development, took the reins as vice-president
and general manager at the GTN System office in Portland.
Peter Lund, acting general manager,
accepted the role of vice-president, Power Development for
TransCanada, also effective Feb. 1.
Rush reports to Max Feldman, vice-president,
Gas Transmission West, and has relocated to Portland. In
his Gas Development role, Rush was responsible for business
development of natural gas pipeline opportunities for TransCanada
in western North America, including the Mackenzie Valley
pipeline project. Rush was also President of TransCanada
Pipeline Ventures Ltd., which owns several unregulated gas
transmission pipeline systems in Alberta.

Lund, who has held progressive
roles on the commercial side of the GTN system since 1988,
will focus on power development opportunities throughout
the western United States as TransCanada’s vice-president,
Power Development, Western Power. Those opportunities may
include acquisitions, development, or positions on existing
assets. Lund will remain in Portland.
“These changes further demonstrate our company’s depth of talent. Having the ability to exchange talented people from one part of the business to another allows us to respond quickly to changing business needs,” said Ron Turner, executive vice-president, Gas Transmission.
Meanwhile, integration efforts continue and will focus on finalizing roles in the GTN and North Baja organization. |
