Gas Transmission Northwest now provides customers and other interested parties a snapshot view of current system inventory and throughput.

The Inventory Summary page is available under Informational Postings and via the “Popular Links” box on the home page. The summary displays the previous week’s ending daily inventory levels, the current and previous day’s throughput at key points, and the guidelines for availability of parking and lending services.

The information will be updated daily before 6 a.m. Pacific time.

“This type of information is one of the things customers said they wanted to see more of on our website,” said Jay Story, director of gas control and transportation services.

Story noted that the changes are part of a larger project to make major structural change to how the GTN website works. “Comments in the 2004 Customer Survey made it clear that we have to improve the functionality of our website,” Story said. “That project is underway, but until it is complete, we want to take incremental steps to make the website more valuable to customers.”

The page also contains information about scheduled maintenance, fuel rate, and inventory targets.
