The
following is an update to the Short-Term Operational Plan
for ongoing pipe maintenance on the NPS 36 Foothills BC
Mainline. The section of pipe affected makes up part of
usable capacity on TransCanada's BC System.
Effective
November 20, 2005, at 17:00 MST, the receipt capability
onto the BC system will be reduced (see table below). The
reduction in capability is required as a result of recent
pipe inspections and will require TransCanada to operate
this section of pipe at a lower pressure. This maintenance
is part of TransCanada's ongoing pipeline integrity program.

The
pressure reduction is expected to remain in place for the
winter 2005/2006 and potentially the summer of 2006. TransCanada
is working diligently to remedy the situation and will advise
of any options that may improve the capability via the Short
Term Operational Plan.
Further
updates regarding this maintenance work will be provided
via bulletin. For more information, please contact The Pipeline
