The following is an update
to the Short-Term Operational Plan for the maintenance on the
NPS 36 Foothills BC Mainline.
The Alberta/BC (ALTBC)
border receipt capability will be reduced to 72.0 E6m3/d (2542
MMcf/d) effective 08:00 MST, February 3, and continuing to an
undetermined date. Firm service levels for the month of
February are 66.7 E6m3/d (2355 MMcf/d) at the ALTBC border.
This reduction in capability
is driven by analysis of new information obtained on-site from
recent pipe excavations, which indicate a need to reduce the Maximum
Allowable Operating Pressure. As the analysis is still ongoing,
TransCanada may require additional reductions in Maximum Allowable
Operating Pressure on short notice. However, TransCanada
will endeavor to provide shippers with as much notice as possible
of any future changes.
All of this work is
part of TransCanada's ongoing maintenance program, aimed at bringing
the currently de-rated pipeline back to its full Maximum Allowable
Operating Pressure as soon as possible.
Further updates will
be provided via bulletin. For more information, please contact
