At approximately 3:15 pm on April 5th, TransCanada experienced a fire at its Elko A C/S facility.  The A unit's failure has resulted in the temporary shut down and unavailability of the entire ELKO C/S.  With this Station unavailable, the receipt capacity of the BC System is reduced to approximately 2118 MMcf/d (60 10 6m3/d or 2,268,000 GJ).  Current nominated flow on the BC System is between 1518 to 1765 MMcf/d.

Investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.  However, TransCanada expects that the other two units, B and C, may return to service by next week.
