In the example above,
a shipper is pooling, or aggregating, four sources of supply and
re-allocating those supplies among three markets. All market center
transactions must take place at a single point (i.e., no transportation
occurs as part of the transaction) and the outflows from the market
center contract must match the inflows (i.e., no imbalances are
permitted). The market center service can work in conjunction
with the GTN System's hub services
to allow for fluctuations in market demand and supply.
